I am experimenting with using raffia yarns for the first time this season to create modern and unique designs such as this fascinator.  Once I realized this particular raffia yarn fanned out I use the  last of one of my favorite yarns in my inventory and created the rectangle then did woven crochet with the raffia to make the fringes.  This is one-of-a-kind.
