Museums has been a major inspiration for my designs.  I visted "The Head to Toe" accessories exhibit at FIT and a hat designed by milliner Stephen Jones became my inspiration for Pearl's Fezband.  It's shaped like a fez but mine are opened at the top. 
This one is made from a Japanese yarn which is strawlike and crocheted in extended single crochet.  The brim and flap are corded ridge crochet.  The flap was too long so I twisted and button it.  I can make one more size.  This one is 22" to 23"
