This raffia like yarn was a pain in the butt to work with, so this is one-of-a-kind.  One technique helped me to get the shape I wanted.  Woven crochet, which I just learned , provided the accent.  The yarn is 100% cellulose and the cap underneath is 100% artisanal cotton.
