This vintage inspired idea came from a 1947 crochet annual by Women's Day.  I kept the white one for myself in which I put my keys and bus pass when I don't have pockets.  How about an evening bag?  I am still experimenting with sizing, because most of my designs are one of a kind or color.  This one is 100% acrylic trimmed with the last of my blue paper mache yarn.  I added three buttons at 1" intervals to make it fit a size range which is 32" down to 30" depending on the stretch.
