Back when I was living in Los Angeles, circa 2007, the hand crocheted short poncho was a hot trending Item.  At the church I attended, Santa Monica, Hollywood, etc.  ladies were wearing them and I am  talking about gorgeous ponchos.  I think they are coming back.
