I learned my crochet stitch skills making doilies.  I just loved how each one developed as I crocheted them.  The  pinwheel is a traditional one from the early 40's but in my effort to create hand crocheted modern accessories, viola, a fascinator.  I covered a metal headband and mounted the doily on it after stiffening.  100% cotton thread.
