I just discovered that the Solomon's Knot stitch is a great stitch to use in making beaded jewelry.  Crocheting with  a metallic  thread, I designed this necklace using amethyst beads- rounds and chips, and blue lapis.  It is 27" long and beautiful if I do say so myself.  One of a kind.
